Hedda Gabler coming to Kent Trumbull Theatre
Posted Mar. 6, 2012The Kent Trumbull Theatre is proud to present a production of Henrik Ibsen's Hedda Gabler.
Like many of Ibsen's late 19th century plays, Hedda Gabler reveals a powerful female protagonist searching for control and self-determination. In doing so, he breaks the dramatic mode of his time. Hedda, with her powerful inner conflict and her inherent need for power, is one of the most complex and striking characters of all time. Ibsen's portrayal of her complex psychology is known to be a precursor to Freudian analysis.
Directed by Daniel-Raymond Nadon, the cast includes Pamela Wilterdink, Noelle Bowles, Jim Canacci, Joseph Toto, Donnagene Palmer, Pat Rogan and Larry Ciferno.
The show performs March 9-11 & 16-18. All shows are at 8 p.m. except Sundays, which will begin at 3 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for students and seniors and $6 for children under 12.
