Black Squirrel quintet coming to Kent State TrumbullPosted Jan. 16, 2012
On Wednesday, Feb. 1 at 7:30 p.m. in Room 202 (formerly Lecture Hall A) of the Classroom/Administration Building, the recently-formed Kent State University quintet - the Black Squirrel Winds - will perform a free concert. The concert is open to the public.
The Black Squirrel Winds Quintet is comprised of Kent State faculty members of the Hugh A. Glauser School of Music. The members include Danna Sundet (oboe), Kent Larmee (horn), Diane McCloskey Fiocca (flute), along with musicians - avid soloist Amitai Vardi (clarinet) and Akron Symphony member Mark DeMio (bassoon).
The concert will be interactive as members of the quintet will discuss each piece and take audience questions.
