Warren Strengthening Community nonprofit class schedules
Posted May. 24, 2010The Kent State University at Trumbull Library has announced the upcoming slate of Warren Strengthening Community classes for nonprofits which will be hosted as part of the campus Grant Information Center programming.
The schedule includes nine classes beginning July 13 with "Nonprofit Financial Management" and concludes on November 30 with the "Non-Profit Round Table". Each class will take place in the Kent State Trumbull Technology Building, Room 117-T. Class sizes are limited to 50.

About the Warren Strengthening Community Project:
The City of Warren received favorable funding consideration from the U.S Department of Health and Human Services - Strengthening Communities Fund for the purpose of providing capacity expanding training and technical assistance to the non-profits serving those in need in the City of Warren, Ohio. The goals of the project are to assist Warren based secular and faith based organizations develop the capacity to offer additional services in response to the emerging needs arising from recent economic impacts and opportunities presented by ARRA efforts and programs and other opportunities; to facilitate and strengthen partnerships amongst area non-profits as they seek to apply for ARRA funding and programs; and to assist organizations form and strengthen their collaborative partnerships to better facilitate referrals for services and benefits.
