Student Nurse Association hosts trio of April eventsPosted Mar. 18, 2011
The Student Nurse Association at Kent State University at Trumbull will be hosting a trio of event throughout the month of April.
On Tuesday, April 5, SNA will be sponsoring a canned food drive from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in front of the Kent State Trumbull Library. Donations of five or more non-perishable food items will receive a free Kent State tote bag. All goods collected will be donated to the Warren Family Rescue Mission. WFRM is a Christ centered nonprofit mission which provides food, shelter, clothing, spiritual and drug and alcohol rehabilitation help – free of charge – to participants from Trumbull County and the surrounding area. They operate solely on donations from individuals and local businesses.
In conjunction with the canned food drive, a pepperoni roll fundraiser for SNA will be conducted. Orders only will be accepted on April 5 with rolls costing $3 each. Orders must be paid in advance. Rolls will then be available for pick-up during the Campus & Community Health Fair on Wednesday, April 20 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the SNA table which will be located inside the Classroom/Administration Building.
Finally, on Wednesday, April 13, SNA will be hosting an Easter egg hunt for residents of the Beatitude House of Mahoning and Trumbull Counties between 4 p.m.-6 p.m. Beatitude House serves women and children of Mahoning and Trumbull Counties bound in the cycle of poverty and homelessness. Through their programs, services, counseling, education, love and support, they work to help those individuals break that cycle.
