Kent State Trumbull grad & author, Victoria Perkins, to appear on campus

My Immortal, 'm CaraAuthor Victoria Perkins, a 2002 Kent State University at Trumbull graduate (Bachelor of Arts, English), will be signing copies of her latest book "My Immortal, 'm Cara" on Monday, April 18, 2011 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the Lower Commons of the Classroom/Administration Building.

In addition to her most current work, Perkins has authored three other novels including "Reeves' Island" (2005), "The Last Summer" (2007) and "Three, Two, One" (2009).

"My Immortal, 'm Cara" is a paranormal/supernatural romance that takes a bit of different view on the concept of a relationship between a mortal and an immortal as 17-year old Tex Novak isn't looking forward to starting her senior year of high school. It is there that she meets new student Zev Avatos and it's an instant connection for both.Before they can be together, however, each has secrets they need to share. Tex confesses her past and, in return, learns the truth about who Zev really is. Zev's identity comes with new challenges that threaten to destroy the budding relationship and each must decide if their love is worth fighting for.
