SIFE hosting unwanted textbook donation drive

Posted Apr. 29, 2011
Have books you don’t want anymore?

The countdown to finals has begun, and for many of you, it also means the unpleasant task of hauling your books back to the bookstore.

But wait, SIFE (Students In Free Enterprise) can lend a hand through its “Better World Books” book drive and you can help!

SIFE is greening the campus by collecting unwanted books as a fundraiser and service project to support Worldfund, their nonprofit literacy partner. Worldfund’s mission is to raise the quality and relevance of education – the key to transforming lives and breaking the cycle of poverty – in Latin America.

You can help by dropping your unwanted and undamaged college textbooks or study guides in the designated collection bins located at the library, Office of Student Services or inside the Technology Building from April 25-May 13. Collections bins will also be at the Kent Trumbull Bookstore during the week of final exams.

Please note that all books/guides must contain a copyright of 2001 or beyond.
