| High school students from the Cleveland Clinic Science-Medicine Summer Program visited the Department of Chemistry on June 21, 2010. The students participated in a laboratory experiment involving enzyme catalase and hydrogen peroxide and the enzyme catalase, explored molecular structure and medical imaging with the 3D projection system in the Department's largest lecture hall, joined Professor Gleeson (Physics) for physics demonstrations, and learned about the college experience from Professors Gericke, Tubergen and Gleeson (Physics). The Department looks forward to future collaborations with the Cleveland Clinic Science-Medicine Program. |
