Psychology Club soliciting donations for local shelters

Posted Feb. 13, 2014
The Psychology Club is providing fellow students, faculty and staff of Kent State University of Trumbull an opportunity to “pay it forward” via a donation drive for two area shelters – Someplace Safe and The Warren Family Mission.

With this winter’s extreme temperatures, both facilities have been faced with near record-breaking numbers of individuals looking for safe and warm shelter, in addition to meals, showers and places to rest. As a result, both shelters are now facing supply shortages, including items such as:
  • Soap
  • Shampoo
  • Toothbrushes
  • Toothpaste
  • Toilet paper
  • Paper towels
  • Napkins
  • Paper plates
  • Styrofoam cups
  • Lysol disinfectant spray
A donation drop box is located at the Psychology Resource Center (Room 234, Classroom/Administration Building), and will be collected through Feb. 28 with delivery slated for the first week of March.
