Honors Requirements
To enter Honors as a freshman, students generally must meet the following criteria:
- 25 as a composite score on their ACT.
- A 3.5 high school GPA.
- A high school rank in the top 15 percent of the class.
To enter Honors after the first year of study, a GPA of 3.2 is normally required. Based on the year of entry, the number of Honors courses is adjusted.
Application Process
Applying to the Honors Program is a simple process which involves an application, essay and letter of recommendation. Having all of these pieces allow the honors coordinators to see more than just grades and standardized test scores.
