The Art of Acting
Monday & Wednesday, 11:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m.
Be a star! Overcome your inhibitions! Gain Confidence! The Art of Acting class teaches self-expression through improvisation, monologue and scene work, and written critique.
Fundamentals of Production: Lighting
Thursday and Friday, 3 p.m.-5 p.m.
Learn the fundamentals of lighting for the stage; design and technology.
Theatre and Social Change
Tuesday and Thursday, 11:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m.
The class will learn the history of theatre as a tool for social justice; learn to devise a TSJ text, and learn directing and acting techniques in the field.
Art of the Theatre
Monday and Wednesday, 10 a.m.-11:15 a.m. OR Friday, 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
This is a basic survey course on the various elements of theatre including acting, directing, history, literature, design and technology, playwriting, and theory and criticism. This is an Kent Core class that satisfies your diversity requirement.
Technical, Management and Performance Practicums I and II (Independent Study in Theatre)
At arranged times.
Perform in a play or work back stage and receive three (3) credits.
