Diversity Advisory Committee Past Events

Kent State Trumbull has hosted a variety of diversity events including:

  • "Pancakes and a Lobster Tank: Living with Autism and Loving Alex" (theatre production, 2010).

  • "For Every Man, Woman and Child - a modern morality play inspired by EVERYMAN"(theatre production adapted for American Sign Language and contemporary English, 2009).

  • American Sign Language Halloween Party (Annual event).

  • American Sign Language Easter Egg Hunt (Annual event).

  • International Education Week & Film Festival (Annual event featuring foods, speakers and films with focal points on a variety of nations).

  • Black History Month (Annual events in celebration of Black culture).

  • Road Not Taken (Annual event with focus on high tech career choices for young women).

  • Tunnel of Oppression (Annual event designed to evoke thought by removing spectators from their comfort zones and thereby causing them to change their preconceived ideas about a given topic. Art works for this project are produced by Kent Trumbull students).
