The Kent Trumbull Performing Arts Series was founded in 1996 by Dr. Denise A. Seachrist, Associate Professor of Music. Each year the series brings to the Trumbull Campus various musical events which are free and open to the public. All events are held in Lecture Hall A of the Main Classroom/Administration Building, and a reception for the audience to meet and greet the performers follows immediately. The series features a mix of both western classical and world music traditions, and in 1997, the series was awarded the National Association of College Activities (NACAA) Great Lakes Regional Award of Excellence – First Place Multicultural Program Award.
